The Telsa Powerwall 2 is known to help significantly reduce your energy bills. When you install a battery, you start to store your power meaning you will be buying less energy from the grid.
The Tesla Powerwall 2 can allow you to become virtually off-grid. You can wave goodbye to the chains of electricity providers as you start to store your own energy. You can use this when you please meaning your house has become self-sustainable.
If you don’t already know about virtual power plants, they are the future. Having a Tesla Powerwall 2 is your gateway towards the future of low costs and low co2 emissions in your community.
Tesla’s powerwall is a solar battery, and it gives you a chance to keep the power that you are producing from your solar system rather than selling it to power companies and buying it back at a higher price. So this means that the solar that you generate throughout the day will be stored in your solar battery and then used at a later date. Also it will also prevent a power shortage at your home during a blackout meaning you can stay safe and keep your home running. It is predicted that more than 1 million Australian homes will install a solar battery over the next 5 years.
This new version of the powerwall can be installed with any solar power system via AC-Coupling. The AC Powerwall 2 communicates with the Tesla Gateway (meter) to determine when to charge (if there’s excess solar generation) and when to discharge (when the home’s energy consumption exceeds what is being produced by the solar system). In more simple terms, you can couple your powerwall 2 with any AC inverter system as the powerwall has its own inverter built in (unlike the powerwall 1).
Tesla will update your firmware regularly to keep your powerwall running at optimum through remote technology and software updates. You won’t need to worry about any maintenance side of things.
Yes, when your Tesla powerwall 2 is fully charged and if your solar system is producing more power than your home is consuming then the excess power will be sold to the grid.
You can monitor your Powerwall remotely using your mobile device and the app that Telstra have provided. You can see in great detail how much power your system is generating and how much energy you have stored.
